Color Theory

In our individual  studios we practiced color theory on one of our designs. The task was to choose a design and color it using the following color schemes,

Analogous, Complimentary, Split complementary and Polychromatic. 

In the image above I have used these four color schemes in on of my shell theme designs. Beside these designs I have printed the shells that inspired the color choice for the design

    The image here is the wrong way round and you could have discussed your use of colours in more depth here - also colour in english is spelt with a u.

  Pierre Cardin "flowers"   This dress is drawn from one of my favorite collections by him, this collection is called flowers,   Drawing his inspiration from the world around him, Mr. Pierre Cardin gives an important place to nature, its curves and bright colors. From dresses to hats, through the fragrance "Rose Cardin", he takes us into the sunny days of spring.   ( "Flowers" ) This dress features geometric patterns, asymmetrical silhouettes, and exaggerated proportions. He wanted to add a feminine touch to his designs that is why 2 bold roses seat on each side of her waist.The high gloves ties the whole look together as it compliments the length of the dress. mugler ready to wear 1992 Taking inspiration from drag race and using a drag queen as a muse, Mugler introduced Connie Felmming to model this piece.
