 Hello, Welcome back to my blog ! 

          This term would be my last term before moving on to my undergraduate degree. This term I would be studying fashion design which I am excited for. I look forward to exploring different fabrics, playing with the construction of a garment, sewing, sourcing fabric and so on. I am happy I have gotten the chance to experience fashion design this term and would be more than happy to post on my blog and carry you all along with me. Last term I acquired a lot of skills such as, learning to cut wood and using it to build, learning to 3D print, laser print, using plastics and sewing. I am more than excited to take on these new skills for this term. On the topic of skills, I am hoping to learn new ones this term such as advancing my knowledge in sewing, taking measurements and creating mind blowing garments from scratch. Tho all these sound exciting what I am looking forward to the most is bringing my different ideas to the table.


 
NYMPHIA WIND
The fashion designer that inspires me is Nymphia wind, Nymphia Wind is the stage name of Leo Tsao (born July 23, 1995), a Taiwanese-American drag performer and dressmaker. She studied fashion design at the University of Art in surrey, uk (Nymphia Wind) She got her passion for fashion and drag during her studies at a university. She is highly inspired by K-pop girl groups. Since 2018, she has been a drag performer in Taipei and moved to Brooklyn in late 2022.  Nymphia's signature color is yellow, and her performances often incorporate banana and Taiwanese cultural elements. I choose Her because she inspires my style this term, Her vibrant use of colours and gravity defining garments, Her knowledge in layering has also inspired me.

    Good introduction and it was good to read about someone new - to add to this it would be a good idea to ad references and some citation to show you have looked at research here.

    Marvin please remember to add all posts you should have so there should be the initial ideas including the mind map, Ideas development from the image in class and then your pre-project plan that you are doing today - please make sure these are up by Sunday so I can read these before I see you next week for tutorial
