initial thoughts

These are my initial thoughts, I will be researching the artists that have inspired me for this project. Starting off with Drew popularly known as lone fox interior design. I first saw his designs on YouTube and immediately felt love for his designs.


Why i choose to research on Drew is because i love the arch's and colors he uses in his design, His style is very rustic and old but yet modern. The way i have chosen to incorporate his style in my design is by using the same color palette he uses. I have narrowed his color scheme down to the earth tones such as creme, white, brown, green, copper and black. 


Another talented designer that has inspired me is Tosin Osinowo. Tosin is a Yoruba Nigerian designer based in Lagos,Nigeria. shes popularly known for mixing aesthetics and and functionality. She has designed some impressive buildings in Nigeria including the  Maryland Mall, Nigerian law school in Abuja, Nigeria.

I have been inspired by the images of her work below. I like the shapes she uses and the color, I also like the fact that her work goes so well with nature





 Melissa Kacoutie graduated from Ecole D’Architecture Speciale de Paris. She has worked in several architectural agencies from Abidjan and in 2016, she decided to set up her architecture firm. she always loved drawing as a young kid reason why she oriented herself towards studies that allowed her to combine her passion with her job. She has inspired me to do the same.


I like her designs because they are very clean.. A lot of clean lines and the way she mixes bright colors with neutral colors. The image you below is one of her designs that have inspired the arches incorporation in my design. I like the sharp, clean edges. I also like the light placement on the arches and I would love to add that to my design.

    You have had some fantastic, innovative ideas Marvin. You have thought about the organic shapes and how they can be incorporated into your designs. Your ideas around pools and water could be developed further. Would you have one pool? Lots of pools? Could the shapes of the pools be inspired by the shapes in the plants? Would you have plants around the pool? In the pool? Please ad comments to your posts too. Tell us what you are thinking and how your ideas are developing
