 Primitivism

Patterns

Pop art

I would like to incorporate Primitivism in my project. My project for now is based on my love for swimming, water and nature. For this project I would want to take reference from the  renaissance era, like the Roman buildings and shapes. I want to create an indoor pool with the clay theme, and nature theme as well as renaissance.

I want to incorporate the way the grass is arranged in the image above. I am also thinking of having a center piece maybe instead of the statue i can have a tree.

The colors used in the image above, cool brown tones is what I want to incorporate in my design. Also the arch walls at the sides opening to the outside.

Might look into adding the grass to the top of the arch as shown in the image above. I want to also add the opening at the top to my project. I like how the opening at the top shines direct light to the pool.

I like the color and cool tones in the image above, the clay baby pink and brown, Again the arch used in the image above is what i want to incorporate.

When i first consider my project the first thing that pops into my head is Nature. Bringing outdoor indoor but making it modern at the same time. How I will do this is by the furniture. My choice of furniture for the room is inspired by modern marble art. I feel through this I can create a link between outdoor and modern design.

I have choosen this peculier looking chair because i like how creative and marble hard looking it is.

  1. You have had some good ideas today. There is a lot to explore in the idea of nature the interior. You don't have to refine any of these at the moment. Keep thinking about shapes, colours, textures and materials. What could you use to make some of your ideas? What about water inspires you? Keep adding to your 'crazy eights' planning sheets. When you have finished please upload all your ideas planning sheets.
