Photoshop: Class Practice Portfolio

  Today we look at how to create a page for our portfolio depending on interior design. I began opening Photoshop and created a canvas, In A3, Landscape . I did this by clicking on new file then in the dialog box i chose A3 then clicked on orientation and chose landscape white background then clicked on create. 



I have then gotten an image from Unsplash and added it to my photoshop. I clicked on the select all tool then copied and pasted it on my canvas. I faced an issue with the size of the image so i clicked on the transform controls at the top menu then adjusted the image to the size I want.


Using the text tool i clicked into my canvas and began to type a name for my salon, After a lot of debate i came up with Nailed it salon relating to the fact that i am designing a nail salon. I then clicked the the text bar at the top to change the fonts, I decided to go with Microsoft Himalaya because i wanted something simple. 


I have now created a logo using Free logo Design. I selected the template i liked then edited the text using the text tool , I then proceed to download the logo. 


I have then added the logo to photoshop and selected on select all tool, i copied and pasted my Logo and placed it on to my canvas. I then used the transform controls to size it down and put it in place.





I have now added my pitch and a block behind to make the text stand out, I have made the colors match to the image. I have also changed the color of the backdrop by using the select tool and the paint tool. This is not the final work. I have saved this as a PSD file so I can edit later.
